Does it Hurt?

Well of course, but how much it hurts really depends on the tattoo and placement and your own tolerance level. The important thing to remember is, the pain is usually very minor (not as bad as you'd think) and the pain is only temporary. The tattoo is forever.

How much is a tattoo?

Tattoos start at $60. We do free consultations where we sit down and discuss the tattoo size, style, detail and location. From there we can make a pretty good guess at how long it'll take us and give you a quote. Stop in and see us!

Do I need an ID?

Yes you will need a government issued photo ID. If under 18 both you and your guardian will need a government issued photo ID.

How old do I have to be to get a tattoo or piercing?

You have to be 16 years old with parental consent to get a tattoo or piercing. We can only pierce ear lobes of someone under 16. Any work on a minor is up to the artist discretion.

Can I bring a friend with me?

You can certainly bring a friend to your tattoo appointment. Sometimes it helps to have a friend to chat with during the tattoo. However only one additional person is allowed in the tattooing area with you while you get your tattoo. Due to the size of our lobby, we ask that you only bring that one person. When you bring 3 or more people with you, it gets too crowded in the lobby, and can be very distracting to your tattoo artist. Please be respectful of other clients and the artists by not bringing a crowd of people with you.

Can I bring my kids?

No. Your child can't be in the tattooing area. No children under 16 are allowed in the studio. We are all very busy and can't keep an eye on unattended children in the lobby. Please make arrangements accordingly.

Can I bring in my own design?

Yes, it can be anything you like, but it will need to be converted into a tattooable design. Some styles of artwork do not work well as a tattoo. We use our years of experience to guide you with the selection of the artwork and style.

Do I need an appointment?

Our shop does have some walk-in availability but to insure you get in when you want, it is best to set an appointment. We do require a deposit to set an appointment but it will come off the final price of the tattoo.

What form of payment do you accept?

We prefer cash. We also accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express

What should I bring to my tattoo consultation?

We highly encourage you to bring any visual reference which helps us better understand your ideas! We love it when our clients are prepared, coming to us with fairly specific ideas in regards to subject matter, size and placement, and bring us plenty of visual references, such as:

- Images from the internet - if you've collected some images from the net, it really saves a lot of time if you can print them out ahead of time - or if you don't have the means to print, please email them to the artist you're consulting with before your appointment. Please don't bring images that are just on your phone. It really makes things difficult for us, and adds considerable time to the consult. We understand how much you love your smart phone and live by it (and we love ours!), but please understand we need physical images (For larger works, preferably large, high-definition images). 

- Drawings, sketches, doodles, or diagrams (does not have to be a masterpiece, it just needs to get a point across!)

- Photographs (if you want a portrait, please bring a large 8"x10" hi-resolution photo of the person/animal)

- An Object such as a figurine, book, brooch, or whatever has inspired you. We can photograph it for our own reference and return it to you safely.

A few words of advice: A consult is typically scheduled as a 30 minute appointment, please keep this in mind. Knowing at least somewhat where your tattoo will be placed, the subject matter involved, and hopefully have some reference pictures to help illustrate your ideas are all ways to keep the consult more concise. We understand that sometimes these specifics are hard to figure out, but remember it can take time to figure out the perfect tattoo that you will have for the rest of your life. So if you are unsure about subject matter or placement, we urge you to give it some more thought before scheduling a consult. Also bring your deposit.

Why do you take a deposit?

We take a deposit for a couple reasons. First reason is to cover the time the artist spends preparing your tattoo, drawing, research, etc. Sometimes as much time is spent researching and drawing a tattoo than is spent actually doing a tattoo. Second is to guarantee your appointment time. This way we know you are serious and if you don't show up we aren't losing money from someone else that could have gotten tattooed at that time.

Is the deposit refundable?

No. If you call with at least 24 hours notice to reschedule we will transfer that deposit to another date one time only. If you don't call or show up you will have to put down another deposit to secure your appointment.

Can you fix/cover-up a bad tattoo I have?

Probably. A consult is typically required to determine what imagery is necessary to adequately cover the old work. Be prepared to go at least 70-100% larger than the tattoo you want to cover. We can give tattoos new life, without covering it up.
